He Has Already Said "Yes"

On December 4, 1956, TIME magazine featured an article on Everet Storms; a school teacher and Bible student living in Kitchener, Ontario, who counted how many promises there were in the Bible. During his 27th reading of the Word, he concluded that there were 7,487 biblical promises made by God to mankind.

With 7,487 promises from God, it's a wonder that many of us continue to live in anxiety, condemnation, and unhappiness. But, Numbers 23:19 reminds us that "God is not a human being, and He will not lie. He is not a human, and He does not change His mind. What He says He will do, He does. What He promises, He makes come true" (New Century Version).

God wants us to know that we don't have to beg Him for His promises. He has already said "Yes."

No matter how many vows God has made to us — because of Christ — He will deliver every one. We simply need to do our part and say "Amen" (2 Corinthians 1:20). Every time the enemy tells you that you're alone and without help, pray: "It is promised that God will never leave me, nor forsake me" (Hebrews 13:5). Every time you feel weary and powerless, pray: "It is promised that God gives strength to the weary, and increases the power of the weak" (Isaiah 40:20). Every time your financial situation becomes overwhelming, pray: "It is promised that God will supply all of my needs according to His riches and glory" (Philippians 4:19).

Every time you need anything, pray God's promises. And always remember, He has already said "Yes."
