Genesis 6:6 states that, after Adam and Eve sinned, "The Lord was sorry He had ever made them and put them on the earth. It broke His heart" (New Living Translation). This Scripture demonstrates that people can cause God emotional pain. He is all-knowing and all-powerful, but He has feelings. Yet, God still gives us the best of His love, even though we might not love Him back..

Love and pride cannot coexist.

A lot of marriages, friendships, and families could be revitalized if people were more vulnerable. Today, I challenge you to love without reservation. Tell your husband how much you desire him (even though he might not return the favor). Tell your family member how much you love them (even though they might not feel the same way). Tell your friend that you're sorry for hurting them (even though they might not apologize for hurting you). Remember: When properly applied, vulnerability reflects strength; not weakness. So don't be afraid to get hurt. Be strong, and love like Christ. c
